Specification Quality Checklist: CI Hardening and Lint Cleanup
Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-04-09 Feature: spec.md
Content Quality
- ✅ No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs)
- ✅ Focused on user value and business needs
- ✅ Written for non-technical stakeholders
- ✅ All mandatory sections completed
Requirement Completeness
- ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
- ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
- ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
- ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
- ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
- ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds
- ✅ Success criteria are measurable
- ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic (no implementation details)
- ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined
- ✅ Edge cases are identified (branch protection coordination, dossier schema drift escalation path)
- ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (Out of Scope section present)
- ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified
Feature Readiness
- ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
- ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (code PR, docs-only PR, reviewer reads lint output, module-scoped test run)
- ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
- ✅ No implementation details leak into specification
Notes
All items pass. Specification is ready for /spec-kitty.plan.
Key items for planner to note:
- WP01–WP05 can be parallelized (independent lint/type fixes)
- WP06 has a hard dependency on WP01–WP05 (clean baseline for coverage floor calibration)
- WP07 has a hard dependency on WP06 (per-module job targets must exist before path filters reference them)
- Branch protection coordination (C-001) is a pre-merge gate for WP07 specifically
- A3 (dossier test assumption) is the highest-risk assumption — implementer must inspect before editing
