Specification Quality Checklist: Coord-Authority Trio Degod

Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-07-10 Feature: spec.md

Content Quality

  • ✅ No implementation details beyond the named refactor targets — this is a structural-refactor mission; the subject matter IS the module boundaries, stated as WHAT-level seams/authority, not line-by-line HOW
  • ✅ Focused on maintainer value (testable lifecycle logic; one partition authority) and the #2160/#2173/#1619 debt payoff
  • ✅ Written so a reviewer grasps the goal without reading the god-modules
  • ✅ All mandatory sections completed

Requirement Completeness

  • ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
  • ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous (LOC/complexity thresholds, arch-enforcement tests, characterization tests)
  • ✅ Requirement types separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
  • ✅ IDs unique across FR/NFR/C
  • ✅ All requirement rows have a Status value
  • ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds (≤15 complexity, ≤~800 LOC, zero new noqa, full suite green)
  • ✅ Success criteria measurable (SC-001..SC-004)
  • ✅ Success criteria technology-agnostic at the outcome level (module size, single authority, complexity, no behaviour diff)
  • ✅ All acceptance scenarios defined (6 scenarios + edge cases)
  • ✅ Edge cases identified (flat/no-coord, coord-topology, rejection/rewind/resume, pre-existing noqa)
  • ✅ Scope clearly bounded (explicit Out of Scope: other god-modules #2531/#2532, doctrine re-litigation, unshim)
  • ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified (settled partition doctrine; proven #2494/#2308 template)

Feature Readiness

  • ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
  • ✅ User scenarios cover the primary flows (maintainer edit, behaviour-preservation, partition-authority)
  • ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes in Success Criteria
  • ✅ No implementation detail leaks beyond the named refactor surface

Notes

  • Behaviour-preservation (FR-006/NFR-001/SC-004) is the load-bearing invariant — the post-spec squad should pressure-test whether the three surfaces are fully characterizable and whether the partition consolidation (#2465) has hidden call sites.
  • Folds #2464 + #2465; advances #2160/#2173/#1619. All items pass — ready for the post-spec squad, then /spec-kitty.plan.
