Specification Quality Checklist: Do Dispatch Open-Op Lifecycle
Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-06-10 Feature: spec.md
Content Quality
- ✅ No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) — CLI command names and record paths are the product's user-facing surface, not implementation
- ✅ Focused on user value and business needs (truthful audit record for owners/auditors/agents)
- ✅ Written for non-technical stakeholders (Purpose + scenarios readable without code knowledge)
- ✅ All mandatory sections completed
Requirement Completeness
- ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
- ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
- ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
- ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
- ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
- ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds (10% latency, 5 s @ 10k files, 90% coverage, idempotency)
- ✅ Success criteria are measurable
- ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic (no implementation details)
- ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined
- ✅ Edge cases are identified (double close, routing failure, sweep race, JSON mode)
- ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (rename deferred C-002, Claude-Code-only hooks C-003)
- ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified
Feature Readiness
- ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
- ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows
- ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
- ✅ No implementation details leak into specification
Notes
- All items pass. Discovery answers (remediation mode, hook scope, migration posture, breaking-change posture) were resolved interactively with the user before spec authoring; no deferred decisions remain.
