Specification Quality Checklist: docs/plans Closeout and Doctrine Schema Diagrams

Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-08-12 Feature: spec.md

Content Quality

  • [~] No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) — see note: intrinsic to this mission
  • ✅ Focused on user value and business needs
  • ✅ Written for non-technical stakeholders — as far as an internal infra/docs mission allows
  • ✅ All mandatory sections completed

Requirement Completeness

  • ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
  • ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
  • ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
  • ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
  • ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
  • ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds (zero drift, zero egress, ≤60s, green suite, pinned sha256)
  • ✅ Success criteria are measurable
  • ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic — user-outcome framed; SC-005 references egress as a verifiable outcome
  • ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined
  • ✅ Edge cases are identified
  • ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (roadmap retire deferred; out-of-scope items named)
  • ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified

Feature Readiness

  • ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria (via user stories + scenarios)
  • ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (5 prioritized stories, independently testable)
  • ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
  • [~] No implementation details leak into specification — see note

Notes

mission whose deliverable is a docsite rendering capability (PlantUML/DocFX) and diagrams generated from named code models (AgentProfileSchema, MissionStep, DRGNode, ArtifactKind). Naming these is required for the spec to be meaningful and testable; they are kept to what is necessary to bound scope and define acceptance, not gratuitous design. The two [~] items are accepted on that basis rather than failed.

as C-002; the plan phase should produce an occurrence map scoped to those changes.

  • Implementation references are intrinsic, not leaked detail. This is a software-dev
  • Bulk-edit component (domains/ migration + doc_status: durable propagation) is captured
  • All other checklist items pass. Spec is ready for /spec-kitty.plan.
