Checklists

Specification Quality Checklist: Finalize re-pins an orphaned planning_commit_sha after a rebase
Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-09-21 Feature: spec.md
Content Quality
- ✅ No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) — mechanism-level git predicates are named as domain entities, not code
- ✅ Focused on user value and business needs (operator un-wedging a P0 mission drive)
- ✅ Written for the operator/agent stakeholder driving governed missions
- ✅ All mandatory sections completed
Requirement Completeness
- ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
- ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
- ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
- ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
- ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
- ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds
- ✅ Success criteria are measurable
- ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic (framed as operator outcomes)
- ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined
- ✅ Edge cases are identified
- ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (C-005: not #2273/#3936)
- ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified
Feature Readiness
- ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
- ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (re-pin, allocator error, backward compat)
- ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
- ✅ No implementation details leak into specification beyond the unavoidable git-predicate vocabulary
Notes
- Load-bearing design decisions (re-pin target = target-branch tip per C-004;
--allow-orphanedexplicit-confirmation gate per FR-003/FR-005; foreign-object refusal per FR-004) were stress-tested by the post-spec adversarial squad before commit.
