Specification Quality Checklist: Implement lane-allocation integrity
Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-09-25 Feature: spec.md
Content Quality
- ✅ No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) — behaviour-level; code seams named only as traceability anchors
- ✅ Focused on user value and business needs (operator never told success while work is lost)
- ✅ Written for non-technical stakeholders (Intent Summary + user stories are plain-language)
- ✅ All mandatory sections completed
Requirement Completeness
- ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
- ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
- ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
- ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
- ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
- ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds
- ✅ Success criteria are measurable
- ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic
- ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined
- ✅ Edge cases are identified
- ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (#4891 + auto-recovery explicitly out of scope)
- ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified
Feature Readiness
- ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
- ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (both defects, plus control arms)
- ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
- ✅ No implementation details leak into specification
Notes
- Two-issue mission (#4889 P0 + #4905 P1); #4891 excluded (in-flight PR #5029).
- Both issues carry explicit Expected / Regression expectation sections; these are the confirmed intent, so discovery was minimized per the operator's
/spk-mission-from-issuesteer.
