Contract — Playwright dashboard e2e regression guard (#1008)
tests/ui/test_dashboard_wp_modal.py boots the dashboard in-thread via start_dashboard(background_process=False) on an ephemeral port (hermetic, headless) against a synthetic project root (dict agent:{tool,model}+agent_profile+role frontmatter the scanner decomposes).- Asserts
#prompt-modal hidden pre-click, then — SCOPED to #prompt-modal .agent-identity-section (never page-global / .card .badge) — that the modal renders agent/model/agent_profile/role + prompt_markdown. Non-vacuity is RENDER-path (mutating showPromptModal with data intact reds it), not a data-blank. .github/workflows/ui-e2e.yml runs it headless (Chromium cached) as a merge-gate workflow; registered in _gate_coverage.py::WORKFLOW_FILES (drift-detector-shaped: own trigger, single job, no dorny filter → tests/ui/ covered, e2e marker homed, coherence invariants untouched). Residual: an admin adds ui-e2e to branch-protection required checks.CLAUDE.md(→AGENTS.md) "Playwright proof" rule links the real test; docs/development/ui-e2e.md is the copy-template.
