Specification Quality Checklist: Tasks Degod Wave 2: Render Seam + Relocation

Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-07-02 Feature: spec.md

Content Quality

  • ✅ No implementation details beyond what the refactor's subject matter requires (the "product" here is the code layout itself; module/symbol names are the domain objects, not leaked implementation choices)
  • ✅ Focused on maintainer value and program goals (#2305/#2173 debt paydown)
  • ✅ Written to be legible to non-implementing stakeholders (context, user stories, plain-language domain glossary)
  • ✅ All mandatory sections completed

Requirement Completeness

  • ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain (comprehensive brief intake from the #2305 debrief; zero deferred decisions)
  • ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous (byte-identity, LOC ceiling, AST census, marker census)
  • ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
  • ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries (FR-001..010, NFR-001..005, C-001..007)
  • ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value
  • ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds (42/42 byte-identical, 100% seam tests, 0 findings, ceiling LOC)
  • ✅ Success criteria are measurable (SC-001..006)
  • ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic to the degree the subject allows (counts, gate outcomes, parity — no new tech choices)
  • ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined (3 user stories, 8 scenarios)
  • ✅ Edge cases are identified (import cycles, golden deltas, patch-seam mass breakage, AST false positives, ceiling honesty, typer skew, coord-authority writes)
  • ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (Non-Goals: #2300, repo-wide #2034, unshim cluster, new ports, decision-logic changes)
  • ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified (merged base 381db8d5f, mission.py template, adapter-module default, ceiling honesty)

Feature Readiness

  • ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria (each FR maps to a user story scenario and/or an SC)
  • ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (relocation, render seam, boyscout visibility)
  • ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
  • ✅ No implementation details leak beyond the refactor's own domain

Notes

  • Discovery satisfied via comprehensive brief intake: the #2305 handover debrief (authored at Wave 1 close, updated post-merge) + a live 2026-07-02 re-census against 381db8d5f. Zero open decisions; no decision-moment records were needed.
  • Bulk-edit check: negative — relocations preserve @patch targets via re-exports; any per-WP deliberate re-pointing is handled inside that WP with the full suite as guard (NFR-002).
