Specification Quality Checklist: MissionResolver Port (2173 Phase 2)

Purpose: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning Created: 2026-07-08 Feature: spec.md

Content Quality

  • ✅ No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) — see Note 1: this is an infrastructure enabler mission; code-surface terms are the domain language, captured in the Domain Language table, not incidental leakage
  • ✅ Focused on user value and business needs — the value is a testable execution-context builder (the #1619 unblock)
  • ✅ Written for non-technical stakeholders — Purpose (stakeholder-facing) TL;DR + Context lead; technical detail is scoped to requirements
  • ✅ All mandatory sections completed

Requirement Completeness

  • ✅ No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain
  • ✅ Requirements are testable and unambiguous
  • ✅ Requirement types are separated (Functional / Non-Functional / Constraints)
  • ✅ IDs are unique across FR-###, NFR-###, and C-### entries
  • ✅ All requirement rows include a non-empty Status value (Draft)
  • ✅ Non-functional requirements include measurable thresholds
  • ✅ Success criteria are measurable
  • ✅ Success criteria are technology-agnostic — see Note 1
  • ✅ All acceptance scenarios are defined (S1–S6 + edge cases)
  • ✅ Edge cases are identified
  • ✅ Scope is clearly bounded (In / Out / Anti-fold sections)
  • ✅ Dependencies and assumptions identified

Feature Readiness

  • ✅ All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria
  • ✅ User scenarios cover primary flows (S1 is the primary unblock)
  • ✅ Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria
  • ✅ No implementation details leak into specification — see Note 1

Notes

enabler (a dependency-injection seam). Its "users" are the CLI runtime, test authors, and downstream missions, so the acceptance surface is necessarily expressed in code-surface terms (resolver, shell, frozen context, arch-gate). These are defined in the spec's Domain Language table. This mirrors the in-lineage coord-primary-partition-lock-01KWZ46V spec's precedent. The stakeholder-facing value is kept technology-agnostic in the Purpose TL;DR.

  • Note 1 — Infrastructure-mission technicality is intentional, not leakage. This is a code-internal
  • Squad grounding and decision rationale live in the three tracer-*.md files alongside this checklist.
